Suggestions for Book Donations:
- Christian books for adults, especially men ages 20-40
- Bibles for all ages
- Kids and teens: Christian books, books with good messages, learning and nature books
- Our Daily Bread
- Addiction/recovery books (great need)
- Chicken Soup for the Soul
- CDs/DVDs/VHS – Christian and “G” (PG?) rated movies/songs. Use your discretion.
- Bookmarks (kids/adults) or used greeting cards/stickers to make handmade ones
- Coloring/activity books for kids
- Inspirational novels
- Tract handouts
- Prison fund account
Locations for Used and New Books:
- Libraries (Free - $2.00)
- Goodwill ($0.50 - $2.00)
- Literacy Councils ($0.50 - $1.00)
- Online stores (Amazon, Thriftbooks, etc.)
- Thrift shops
- Yard sales
- Neighbors, friends & relatives
- Bookstores' clearance departments (e.g. Mardel’s, Books-A-Million, Barnes & Noble)
- Used bookstores
Sometimes people will donate their books to you or give you a reduced price if you let them know what your plans are for them. You just have to ask!
